As a girl growing up in Boston, I developed an early passion for leading and serving others.  Coming from a family of educators, nurses, and charity volunteers, I saw the joy of helping those in need.  As I struggled with asthma, I understood the challenge of overcoming obstacles.

This led to a career interest in personal and leadership development at age 16.  Following high school, I pursued this path and obtained a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology.

Soon I was climbing the corporate ladder in major Fortune 100 companies.  As a senior Human Resources executive responsible for worldwide leadership development at The Walt Disney Company, Allianz, and PepsiCo, I designed and led cutting edge leadership programs and trained, coached, and mentored thousands of leaders around the globe.

I hosted executive development programs at Harvard Business School and was a speaker in the M.B.A. programs of University of California at Los Angeles and University of Southern California.

After 14 years in global roles with frequent international travel, burnout began to set in and I began to reassess my life and goals.

My search for answers led me through a phase of self-discovery.  I spent time revisiting my identity, talents, and motivators to help re-clarify who I was and what I wanted.

Along the way, I gained insights and inspiration from my worldwide travel.  Having visited over 50 countries, I’ve been exposed to the common struggles and aspirations of people from all backgrounds. This has shaped my thinking about the many paths to happiness, success, and creative fulfillment.

When the time was right, I fueled my passion for service to help a few friends with a global mentoring program for girls in Kenya.

I developed and taught my first short “life skills” course to Kenyan high school girls called “Find Your Brilliant Career”.

I began mentoring a few young women from these classes, who are now thriving college graduates with corporate careers in Nairobi.
